About the Kia Ceed

The Kia Ceed is Kia’s compact family hatchback built specifically for the European market and one of Kia’s most popular models in the UK, produced since 2006 and now in its third generation. Available as a five-door hatchback, estate (Sportswagon), and shooting brake (ProCeed), the Ceed is a practical everyday car backed by Kia’s seven-year warranty and widely used by families and private buyers across the UK.

Chipex stocks colour-matched touch up paint for every UK-market Ceed shade across all three generations, including the ProCeed and Ceed Sportswagon variants.

Kia Ceed Generations and Paint Code Location

The Kia Ceed has run across three main generations:

Mk1 (2006–2012) · Mk2 (2012–2018) · Mk3 (2018–present)

Your Kia Ceed paint code is a three-character alphanumeric code. On all Ceed generations, the paint code sticker is inside the driver’s door jamb – open the door and look for the white label on the door pillar or sill. The code is clearly listed alongside other vehicle data.

Entering your registration at the top of this page is the most reliable and quickest method for Ceed colour identification across all generations.

Common Kia Ceed Paint Issues

Stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper are the most frequent damage type on the Ceed – particularly on Mk3 models used as daily commuters. Snow White Pearl (SWP) is the most popular Ceed colour on the Chipex platform and a pearlescent solid finish requiring 1–2 thin coats.

Steel Grey (KLG) and Aurora Black Pearl (ABP) are popular Mk3 metallic shades. Both require 2–3 thin coats. Runway Red (CR5) is a vivid red available on the ProCeed GT-Line and a solid finish that blends predictably.
