Is pink a rare car colour?
From Elvis Presley’s Cadillac to the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, some of history’s most iconic vehicles have been pink. But is it still a popular car colour? Despite a surge in popularity after the release of the Barbie movie in 2023, pink cars are still fairly rare on the road.
Whether you go for bubblegum, baby pink or hot pink, it can be a great car paint choice if you want your vehicle to stand out.
Why choose Chipex for your pink car paint?
While pink can be a fun and vibrant colour choice, some shades can also show up scratches and scuffs quite clearly. For this reason, it’s important to get an exact colour match when looking for touch-up paint.
That’s where Chipex comes in. We’ll custom-mix a high-quality repair paint that seamlessly restores your vehicle’s bodywork.

Fast and easy vehicle paint repairs in three steps
Once you have your Chipex touch-up kit, you can restore your vehicle’s pink car paint in a few straightforward steps.
Preparation
By cleaning the scratched, scuffed, or chipped area and making sure it is free from polish, wax, and dirt, you create the ideal surface for paint adhesion.
1. Apply your pink car paint
Next, you need to apply your pink car paint using the brush from your Chipex kit. A gloved finger may also be suitable when dealing with minor road rash. Leave the paint for up to five minutes until it is touch-dry.
2. Add the blending solution
Our blending solution is designed to remove any excess paint and create a smooth transition between the repaired area and the rest of your vehicle’s bodywork. Add a small amount to the paint removal cloth, gently rub it over the painted area, and let it dry for a few minutes.
3. Polish and buff*
*Note: This step isn’t applicable if you’re using matte pink car paint.
Apply the polish from your kit to the repaired area using microfiber cloth. Wait until it has dried to an opaque hue and then buff away the excess to restore shine.
