How to apply Chipex touch-up paint
We’re determined to make vehicle paint repair fast, easy, and affordable. Our silver touch-up paint can be applied in a few straightforward steps.
Prepare the damaged area
First, clean the area around the scuff, chip, or scratch. Make sure it is free from polish and wax, as these can reduce how well the touch-up paint adheres.
1. Apply your silver touch‑up paint
Using the brush supplied in your kit, apply your bespoke silver paint. You can also use your finger to apply the paint to areas of minor road rash, but always ensure you wear protective gloves.
Once applied, leave the paint to dry for a few minutes.
2. Add the blending solution
Once the paint is touch-dry, it’s time for the blending solution. This is designed to remove excess product and create a seamless repair. Add a small amount of the blending solution to your paint removal cloth and then apply it to the painted area, rubbing gently. Leave it to dry for a few minutes.
3. Polish to restore shine*
*Note: If your silver car has a matte paint effect, skip this step.
The final step is to apply the supplied polish to the repaired area using the microfiber cloth. Once it has dried and has an opaque hue, buff the polish away to restore your vehicle’s shine.
